An in-house derby. Absolutely atrocious weather conditions made for a very scrappy affair.
The PYL champions controlled possession and territory throughout but were made to work hard for their 3 points by their Kolts counterparts.

Man of the Match - Jackson Walters 🥇 Anthony Ivancic 🥇
As the football Gods would have it, Hills football powerhouse Kolts and Spirit were drawn together in the round of 16 state cup match. Having not actually versed each other in the league, this promised to be a highly entertaining match. A packed Bernie was not disappointed as this game delivered everything.
A tightly contested match saw its 1st major talking point as LAM, Spencer Fisher, was shown a red card 📕 for 2 yellow cards. He could feel hard done by, but it was now backs against the wall for the PYL champs.
The game ebbed and flowed with plenty of endeavour and vigour without either team able to break through.
The Kolts, who were backing up after playing Saturday dug deep within themselves to find the energy to play 120 minutes of football in this one. Spirit was fresh having a forfeit the day before. By the end of proceedings, it was Spirit who looked battered and bruised as the game went to penalties.
The Kolts dispatched all 5 of their kicks, with Kyle Allen scoring the decisive one, but Jackson Walters proved to be the hero as he saved one from the Spirit team.
An absolutely energy sapping week saw the Kolts get one over their counterparts Spirit again, with less men.
A man of the match preference from Jackson Walters and Anthony Invancic saw the Kolts prevail in this epic battle.
Onto the QF of the State Cup.
