Men’s Premier League First Grade – Kolts v Bella Vista FC: result 14-0

Kolts Men's Premier League First Grade team delivered an astonishing performance against Bella Vista FC, securing a remarkable 14-0 victory at their home ground, Bernie Mullane Sports Complex. This win not only earned them three points but also significantly boosted their goal difference.

The game started with a bang as Hamish Callaghan scored in the 3rd minute, quickly setting the tone for what was to come. Callaghan struck again in the 10th minute, doubling the lead. Liam Lawler added to the tally in the 22nd minute, making it 3-0. Nikolas Dimitriadis then showcased his scoring prowess, netting goals in the 29th and 35th minutes. Just before halftime, Alex Vendrasco scored in the 43rd minute, giving the Kolts a commanding 6-0 lead.

The second half saw no let-up from the Kolts. Dimitriadis completed his hat-trick in the 58th minute, followed by Kameron Harron's goal in the 65th minute. Aidan Noor added his name to the scoresheet with goals in the 69th and 76th minutes. Kameron Harron scored his second goal in the 83rd minute, and Caleb Leonard found the net in the 87th minute. Keiran Pace made it 13-0 in the 90th minute, and Noor completed his hat-trick in stoppage time, scoring in the 90’ + 3rd minute.

The Kolts exhibited exceptional teamwork, relentless attacking, and solid defence throughout the match. Nikolas Dimitriadis and Aidan Noor both secured hat-tricks, while Hamish Callaghan also bagged and early double, showcasing the depth and versatility of the Kolts' attacking lineup.

Men’s Premier League Reserve Grade – Kolts v Bella Vista FC: result 5-0

The Kolts Men's Premier League Reserve Grade team delivered an impressive performance against Bella Vista FC, securing a commanding 5-0 victory at their home ground, Bernie Mullane Sports Complex.

The first half saw the Kolts establish their dominance. Marcus Kilborn opened the scoring in the 34th minute with a well-placed shot, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead. Just two minutes later, Nick Giampietro doubled the lead in the 36th minute, putting Kolts firmly in control.

After halftime, the Kolts continued their offensive pressure. James Russell-Miller extended the lead to 3-0 in the 48th minute with a clinical finish. The team maintained their momentum, and Aaron Hubble added another goal in the 80th minute, making it 4-0. Luke Baylis capped off the scoring with a goal in the 87th minute, sealing the 5-0 victory for the Kolts.

Kolts demonstrated excellent teamwork, solid defence, and relentless attacking throughout the match. Marcus Kilborn, Nick Giampietro, James Russell-Miller, Aaron Hubble, and Luke Baylis were all key contributors to this comprehensive win.

Youth Boys Premier League – Kolts v Winston Hills: result 2-1

It was 2nd vs 3rd as the Kolts travelled to Winston Hills to take on the new Bears on the block. The game had everything which saw a decent crowd enjoy the match.  

The match started in a high-octane fashion. It wasn’t long before the Kolts found themselves in the opposition box. Some good play saw Spencer Fisher take on his defender and draw a foul. Penalty. Vice-Captain, Arjun Sandhu, stepped up and dispatched the penalty with consummate ease. 1-0 ⚽️ the half was tight as The Bears set up a low block and made space difficult. The game turned right on half time as Zach Kelly was shown a red card. Suddenly, an opening appeared for the Bears which left Coach Tayler with plenty to think about.  

2nd half saw the Kolts revert to a 4-4-1 and generally control the match. They created chances and looked the more likely to score even with a man down. A delightful corner from Dylan Timoney saw Conor Siney rise above all and score a brilliant header to give the 10 men some breathing space. 2-0⚽️  

The final 8 minutes saw the bears pull one back through the penalty spot, but the Kolts hung on for another victory in the road  

Next week sees the in-house derby against the new Kolts 21s team. There is also the small matter of State Cup Last 16 vs perennial rivals Hills Spirit on Sunday. A huge week awaits

Women’s Premier League – Kolts v Marayong FC: result 2-1

Following their dominant win in the State Cup last week, the Kolts Women's Premier League team returned to Bernie Mullane Sports Complex for round 8 of the premiership, facing Marayong FC. Determined to maintain their top spot on the ladder, the Kolts secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory, adding another three points to their tally.

The first half saw the Kolts asserting their dominance, with Georgia Hogan opening the scoring in the 36th minute. Hogan struck again just five minutes later, finding the net in the 41st minute to give the Kolts a 2-0 lead going into halftime.

Marayong FC fought back in the second half and managed to pull one back in the 69th minute, making the score 2-1. Despite Marayong's efforts to equalise, the Kolts' defence held strong, ensuring no further goals were conceded.

The match was characterised by the Kolts' resilience and determination, especially in the face of Marayong's persistent attacks in the second half. Georgia Hogan was the standout performer with her two crucial goals, and the entire team showed commendable effort to secure the win.

Youth Girls Premier League – Kolts v Castle Hill United: result 11-0  

Hot on the heels of their goal fest in last week's State Cup fixture, the Kolts Youth Girls Premier League team delivered another outstanding performance, securing an impressive 11-0 victory over Castle United in front of their home fans at Bernie Mullane Sports Complex. The match was made even more special with the team missing several players, resulting in many playing out of their normal positions.

The Kolts set the tone early, dominating the first half and heading into the break with a 4-0 lead.  The second half saw the Kolts continue their relentless attack, adding seven more goals to put the result beyond doubt. The team's adaptability and teamwork were evident as they seamlessly adjusted to the absence of key players, maintaining their high level of performance.

Sarah Vall and Navika Grover led the charge with three goals each, showcasing their finishing prowess and solidifying the team's dominance. Rose Fewell, Claudia Srsa, Grace Smyth, and Jade Seghabi each added a goal to the tally, while an own goal from Castle United completed the score sheet.
