The match started in a high-octane fashion. It wasn’t long before the Kolts found themselves in the opposition box. Some good play saw Spencer Fisher take on his defender and draw a foul. Penalty. Vice-Captain, Arjun Sandhu, stepped up and dispatched the penalty with consummate ease. 1-0 ⚽️ the half was tight as The Bears set up a low block and made space difficult. The game turned right on half time as Zach Kelly was shown a red card. Suddenly, an opening appeared for the Bears which left Coach Tayler with plenty to think about.
2nd half saw the Kolts revert to a 4-4-1 and generally control the match. They created chances and looked the more likely to score even with a man down. A delightful corner from Dylan Timoney saw Conor Siney rise above all and score a brilliant header to give the 10 men some breathing space. 2-0⚽️
The final 8 minutes saw the bears pull one back through the penalty spot, but the Kolts hung on for another victory in the road
Next week sees the in-house derby against the new Kolts 21s team. There is also the small matter of State Cup Last 16 vs perennial rivals Hills Spirit on Sunday. A huge week awaits
