Game 4, on a double header weekend, this game proved to be a very tough affair for the reigning champions. On a smaller pitch that proved tight, Rams came out firing and scored early to go 1-0 up. Utilising a direct approach Rams forced the Kolts into lots of mistakes and a fair bit of panic. The Kolts did produce one moment of sublime football which resulted in their equaliser. After a half time team talk, where Coach Tayler called for calm, the Kolts came out a lot more composed. Playing their more possessions-based football, moving Rams all over the pitch and forcing their opponents into last ditch tackles and clearances, the Kolts took full control.
Their patience was rewarded when Skipper, Ethan Jones ⚽️scored from a Dylan Timoney corner. With 18 minutes left in the game another excellent set piece from Timoney saw CB, Anthony Ivancic win the initial header, the keeper saved but Ivancic followed up for an excellent finish to score the match winner ⚽️ 3-2 ✅
