The Youth Boys Premier League side kicked off their 2025 campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 win over local rivals Rouse Hill Rams at Bernie Mullane. With a fresh-faced lineup and plenty of nerves in the opening stages, the Kolts settled into the contest after a tight opening 15 minutes.

It was Oliver Duffy who sparked the breakthrough, threading a perfectly weighted assist for Josh Smart, who unleashed a thunderous 30-metre strike that rippled the net and sent the home fans into raptures.

But just as the Kolts looked to take control, a defensive lapse right on the stroke of half time gifted the Rams an equaliser, leaving it 1-1 at the break.

After a firm halftime message from both coach and captain, the Kolts emerged a different side in the second half. They dominated possession, dictated tempo, and eventually found their reward.
