The Kolts dictated the tempo from minute 1. They harassed, pressed and counter pressed their opponents into submission. Their efforts were rewarded when an unbelievable, instinctive strike, from recent new CB, Conor Siney put them in the lead. Siney has been exceptional in the past couple weeks playing in an unfamiliar position.
It was soon 2-0 as the in-form Dylan McTimoney scored a sublime free kick. McTimoney is proving a very very useful number 9. The Kolts were relentless and forced turnovers at will, with their constant pressure. Before half time a brilliant team goal drilled home their dominance on the day. Patient build-up followed by some excellent, intricate passing saw the team shift from the back, side to side and up the field. A brilliant take-on by Matt Drane, saw him create his 8th assist for the season. Carlos Burgas slotted a sublime goal from the top of the box to round out a near perfect half of football. 3-0.

2 players deserve special praise for their performance on the day. Zach Kelly and Carlos Burgas were absolutely outstanding. For 2 young kids, breaking into the PYL starting 11, in their first season, shows the bright future the Kolts PYL have. Kelly was brilliant. Pressing, tackling and even putting in a last-ditch tackle, like a man possessed, to save the coveted clean sheet. Burgas was just as excellent in the 10 role. Pressing with purpose, composed in possession, finding excellent passes and scoring a quite brilliant goal to cap off a great afternoon!
A week off for the boys coming up as they prepare for the MP Title showdown with Hills Spirit in 2 weeks time at fortress Bernie!
Until then, BLEED
