A potentially tricky away fixture saw the top of the table PYL team drop more valuable points and give up a 2-0 lead. A frustrating afternoon turned into a nightmare as costly mistakes and lapses in concentration saw the PYL drop 2 valuable points in their quest for the Minor Premiership.
A bumpy pitch saw plenty of mistakes as the Kolts tried to play their passing game. They were rewarded for their endeavour when Kyle Allen bagged a long-range goal to put them in the lead. The Kolts were in total control up until about 10 minutes into the second half. Within 15 minutes the scores were level at 2-2 as 2 unfortunate and uncharacteristic mistakes by GK, Jackson Walters, saw The Bears draw level.
With plenty of time left in the game the Kolts were unable to create any chances of note and had to rely on their GK Jackson Walters pulling off a couple of saves late on. Jake Abbey put in a MOTM performance with some last ditch tackles to save the team from a disastrous loss.
They will have to bounce back and learn quick from this setback. In football you always have the opportunity to go again and show your mental toughness and resilience. The next couple of games will give the team that opportunity.
With a bye this weekend, Coach Tayler has plenty of time to work with the team before their next outing against Baulkham Hills.
Until then, Bleed ❤️🖤❤️🖤
