In what was expected to be a closely contested match, the Kellyville Kolts Men's Premier League First Grade team faced off against the Castle Hills Rockets in a thrilling encounter. Despite a valiant effort from the Kolts, they were unable to match the Rockets and ultimately fell 3-0 in front of the Rockets home crowd.
From the opening whistle, the Kolts looked the more dangerous side, pressing high up the field and causing problems for the Rockets' defence. However, the home team stood firm and managed to score two early goals.
As the first half progressed, the Kolts began to grow into the game, creating a few chances of their own; however, the Rockets' defence held strong, and the sides went into the break with the Kolts down 2-0.
The Kolts fought on valiantly, pouring forward in search of their first goal. However, their efforts were ultimately in vain, as the Rockets extended their lead early in the second half to make the score 3-0.
Despite the disappointment of the defeat, the Kolts can hold their heads high knowing that they gave it their all. They will look to bounce back in their next match, when they return home to Bernie Mullane this Saturday against the Rouse Hill Rams.
The Kellyville Kolts Men's Premier League Reserve Grade team secured a crucial away victory against the Castle Hills Rockets in an entertaining match that saw the visitors emerge as deserved 3-1 winners. The game was played in front of a lively crowd, and both sides played with intensity from the outset.
The Rockets took the lead early on with their first and only goal of the game to lead 1-0. The Kolts responded strongly, however, and equalised soon after through a well-placed shot from J. Russell-Miller.
The Kolts continued to press forward and were rewarded for their efforts midway through the half, with M. Abnous scored a well-taken goal to give the visitors a 2-1 lead which they held onto heading into the break.
The second half saw the Rockets come out with renewed determination, as they looked to find an equaliser. However, the Kolts' defence held strong, with goalkeeper J. Hadden making several key saves to keep the home team at bay.
As the match wore on, the Kolts grew in confidence, and they sealed the victory with a clinical finish from C. Leonard, to score his team's third and final goal.
The victory was a crucial one for the Kolts, who continue their unbeaten run in the Reserve Grade competition. The win sees them sitting in second place in the league table, and they will now look to build on this momentum in their next match at home this Tuesday night vs Castle Hill.

Our PYL continued their excellent start to the season with a convincing 7-0 win 🤩 on the road at the Rockets. After the hard-fought, come-from-behind win, against a quality Hills Spirit outfit at Bernie, the Kolts were ruthless in this one.
A standout MOTM performance today was courtesy of marauding LB, Josh Sadler. Sadler was brilliant as he netted a hat-trick ⚽️⚽️⚽️ with his industrious work rate and sublime finishing. Following on from Kyle Allen’s hat trick winning performance in game one, this team certainly has goal-scorers across the park.

The Kellyville Kolts Women's Premier League team played out an exciting 1-1 draw away to Parklea SFC in a closely contested match that saw both sides create several scoring opportunities.
The game started evenly, with both teams looking to assert their dominance early on. However, it was Parklea who took the lead in the 39th minute, after a well-placed free-kick found its way into the back of the net, leaving the Kolts' goalkeeper with no chance.
Despite the setback, the Kolts continued to press forward, and they were finally rewarded in the 75th minute when B. Hogan scored a crucial equaliser, with a shot that found the back of the net.
The goal sparked a late surge from the Kolts, who piled on the pressure in search of a winner. However, Parklea's defence held strong, and the game ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw.
Overall, it was a fair result for both teams, who played with great intensity and showed plenty of skill on the ball. The Kolts will be pleased with their performance, particularly in the second half, and will now look to build on this result in their next game against Norwest at Francesco Reserve.
