A game where our PYL came of age. In what promised to be a massive challenge saw our PYL raise to the level they can achieve. A young Rams team, fresh from their upset win against MP, GF hopefuls and club affiliates (Rouse Hills Rams Red) would have expected to push their fellow title challenges. Instead they were met with the full force of the Kolts wrath.
In a first half, where youthful exuberance was on show, it was their illustrious counterparts who still managed to stamp their authority. Adnan Mušič, fresh from his match-winning antics the previous week, opened the scoring with a neat finish. The lead was doubled when Kyle Allen doubled the scoring. Rams controlled possession but created very little as the Kolts defence, lead by Captain Saxton McGlynn, stood firm and kept them at bay. Kolts had numerous chances on the counter and were eventually rewarded when midfield maestro, Ethan Jones scored a worldie to make it 3-0 before the break. ⚽️⚽️⚽️
The 2nd half saw complete control from the Kolts 💪🏽. Scoring 6 🌟unanswered goals. Adnan Mušič completing his hat trick🔥, Alex Mealey scoring a sublime header, Avessta Ghanbary scoring a goal after missing the start of the season with a serious knee injury and CB Jake Abbey having bragging rights over his brother as he scored from the spot, with his brother in goal, to makes it an absolutely resounding victory on the day.
This was a mature performance from our PYL team in their quest for glory. A performance everyone is certainly going to be talking about.
With a bye next week, the Kolts can put their feet up and watch the rest of the round before the huge game vs fellow title challengers Rams Red.
Until then, Bleed ❤️🖤❤️🖤
